Counselling

Often taking the first step to find a therapist takes great courage. Sometimes we need a safe place to explore how we are feeling or work through something. As a counsellor I will offer you a safe space, listen without judgment and help you explore your thoughts and emotions. I may offer information, but I won’t tell you what you should think or do. What we talk about will vary and depend on what you want help with. It could include:

relationships

childhood

feelings, emotions or thoughts

behaviour

past and present life events

situations you find difficult

Therapy usually takes place as planned and regular sessions which last around 50 minutes. The number of sessions required can vary and depends on your circumstances. This would be discussed and agreed at the beginning of therapy.

I hold a Diploma in Pluralistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling. The pluralistic approach is a collaborative one, and see’s you as unique and therefore aims to provide you with a therapeutic approach that best suits your needs.

All our sessions are confidential and I am committed to the BACP Code of Ethics. My practice is regularly supervised and I am a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society.

Counselling takes place in person in Peebles, Scottish Borders or online within the UK. Counselling is charged at £55 for a 50 minute session.

I currently have some availability for counselling. Please email me at suzi@aweeretreat.scot and we can explore working together. I offer a free discovery 30 minute call/meeting.
